Today in 2015, it is rare that I come across a middle or high school student who is not interested in some sort of technology, whether it be his or her phone, computer, or tablet. Thanks to this website though (see link above), I was able to bring a little bit of this beloved technology in to my classroom while teaching sine, cosine, and tangent curves. Using the drop-down menus for each a, b, c, and d value, students can take some time to experiment and find out what these numbers really mean and how they effect each kind of curve! Using the "show base function" button, students are given the ability to see how their new functions look as compared to the originals, which will really help them notice changes in the x-direction, y-direction, period, and amplitude.
