Alphametic Puzzles
An alphametic puzzle is a math problem involving words where each letter represents a number to make the math equation true. By using their knowledge of basic addition rules, students at nearly any grade-level can enjoy cracking this "secret code." Because there is only one correct answer to any alphametic puzzle, students' problem solving skills are put to the test when they use basic
arithmetic facts, logical reasoning, and systems of equations to find the solution. Perhaps some determination and
patience will help them, as well!
Rules:
1. No two letters can represent the same number (we'll only be using the numbers 0-9).
2. Zero cannot be the left-most number.
